7. Strawberry: it is a kind of fruit introduced into China from the West in the early 20th century. It can be eaten fresh or be made into jam, juice and wine. Processed with fast freezing, the original quality can be retained.

10. Lichee: Originally grown in China, it is one of famous special local fruits in south China with nice appearance, bright color, plentiful juice, rich nutrition and delicious taste. However, the texture of lichee is delicate with active physical functions, and the harvest time is midsummer, so it is not endurable in terms of its storage. After harvest, under the circumstance of normal temperature, the fruit coats turn brown and the pulp turn deteriorative within 1 to 2 days, and soon it will be rotten without original color, fragrance, and taste, therefore it is one of the fruits which are the hardest to preserve.
When the color of the fruit coats turns from green yellow to red (very few varieties are exceptional), it is available to be harvested and collected for long distance transport. If it is sold nearby or processed at the local place, the lichee with aglow fruit coats, thick pulp and brown hardcores, with the original sweetness and fragrance of lichee, and free from downy mildew, should be picked when its degree of maturity is 80-90%.

11. Pineapple: as a kind of tropic fruit, it is juicy, bright, fragrant and rich in nutrition, but it cannot resist low temperature. There are three varieties, i.e. Cayenne group, Queen group and Spanish group. Most of the present varieties are not endurable in transport, only the varieties of Bali (also named Philippine, Chen Jiageng, Yellow fruit, etc) and Wuming, Yunnan, Taiwan, etc. are endurable in transport.

12. Cherry: as a fruit planted in the south, it has nice appearance, rich nutrition, plentiful juice and sweet taste. It is not only a kind of fresh fruit liked by people, but a kind of raw material for food processing. There are four varieties of cherry in China, i.e. Chinese cherry, European cluke cherry, amarelle and manchu cherry. Of the main quality varieties, Bingku and chicken heart, which are late varieties, can endure transport, while such varieties as Zaozi, Huangyu, Dazi, Maobasuan are not endurable in transport.
