China was the biggest canned fruit exporter of Japan during few years. There are 30% canned fruit products from China In Japanese market. In 2001, Japan import China canned fruit 307,000 tons. That was reduced 4.8% than 2000 (323,000 tons). Japan import canned food from China, main products is canned fruit and canned vegetable.

Canned food is best important export products in China; there are 20,000,000 tons recently five years. In 2001 China canned fruit industry produce 1,730,000 tons, and exported 640,000tons.
Recently Japan import quantity of canned fruit apparent increased, from 590000 tons (1997’s) to 650000 (1998’s) 726000(1999’s) and 750000(2000’s).

Except china, Japan main canned fruit supplier (quantity over 10000 tons): USA: 1020000 tons, Thailand: 880000 tons, Italy: 610000 tons, South Africa: 250000tons, Indonesia: 20000 tons, Turkey: 170000tons. But Japan produce quantity of canned food reduced every year, and almost non-export, Japan export canned fruit products just 7000 tons in 2001.
